I know, most commercials are bad, but this one caught my eye because of recent local events.
Verizon has a new TV commercial showing a young man "car surfing" atop an Indy Racing car as it goes zooming around the track and amongst racing traffic. It signifies fast speed and service with Verizon.
Obviously this is unrealistic, nor do I take is as such, but after two young people in Colorado have recently died from being thrown from the top of a car while "car surfing", it hits too close to reality.
I emailed their Corporate Responsibility group complaining about this ad and its irresponsible representation of this activity. We'll see if I get a response.
Don't you just love the drug ads on TV where listing the side effects of taking take as long as the commercial itself. My favorite new one is for Lunesta, a sleep aid. One of the mentioned side effects is "drowsiness". Jeez, I hope so.
