Rolling Pigeons

While discussing birds stuck in window wells over coffee this morning, my friend Bob relates how he had to remove a pigeon stuck in his uncovered window well one time. "Why didn't it just fly out?", we asked, thinking it was hurt or deformed. Once he put it on the ground, it didn't fly, it performed sommersaults. Yeah right, another tall Bob tale. Nope, there is actually a type of pigeon, known as parlor roller pigeons, that don't fly, they roll. Check out this quicktime video to see for yourself.

Masterful

Phil Mickelson finally did it, winning a major. Seemed to be worth the wait. What a fantastic final day to watch. Eagles, birdies, holes-in-one. What was missing? Only Tiger.

Now that Mickelson's off the list of greatest players to not win a major, who rises to the top of it? Verplank? Garcia?

Hellboy

Saw the movie Hellboy today. Found it to be extremely fun, imaginative, funny, and thoroughly entertaining. However, my friend Bob, who sat next to me, never laughed or smirked once. At the end he exclaimed "That was the worst movie I've ever seen". I can guarantee I won't invite him to anything based on a comic book again. I loved it.
